Maw Sit-Sit is a complex gem mineral containing chromic jadeite. It’s named for the Burmese/Myanmar village near where it is mined. A by-product of jadeite mining, its rarity and great beauty were appreciated by the local miners and top gemologists and it is gaining greatly in popularity. This top-grade example weighs approx. 17.52 ct. and measures about 27 x 21 x 3.15 mm. It’s polished on both sides and would make an outstanding designer pendant. (All uses, N)
